Main engine: 4-cyl Bolinder semi diesel, 350 bHp at 225 rpm. Engine has not been started for many years. No propeller.

Equipment: Central heating from oil furnace, system installed 1990. Hydraulic anchor winch with two anchors.
General arrangement: 13 berths in single cabins, most with sink and wardrobes. Four cabins in the deck houses, one of which is larger with private WC/shower and saloon/dayroom. Nine single cabins below deck. Below deck also a large galley with stove/oven, microwave, fridges and freezers. Former crew and officer messrooms are used as dayrooms/tv-room. Here are also two WCs and a shower room, fore peak with anchor winch hydraulics and stores. Lower deck holds the large engine room and tank room with several storage rooms, sauna and laundry room.
“Vinga” was one of the last and largest type of lightship built in Sweden. The vessel was in lightship service until 1965. She was later converted into accomodation barge for the swedish maritime administration. Today the vessel is used as student housing for a school in Stockholm.
