"Maagen"
Type of vessel: Ex. ice-breaking guard-vessel for the Danish fishing fleet outside Greenland. In service until 1989. Today in use as a private yacht.
Built: 1960 at Helsingør Skibsverft og Maskinbyggeri, Denmark.
Material: Steel, wheelhouse in aluminium, steel-decks over-laid with 2 1/4 inch teak. Galvanised rig wire. Length: 27.00 meters (lpp 22,35 meters)

Draft: 2,96 meters fully loaded (moulded draft 3,75 meters), air draft 17 meters.
Tonnage: 130 GRT 21 NRT
Main engine: Burmeiseter & Wain-Alpha 405VO, 350 bhp, adjustable pitch propeller 60”.
Cruising speed: 8,5 knots/300 rpm on 40-50 litre per hour , max 10,5 knots on 375 rpm. Under sail and with emergency engine running the vessel made 6 knots at the sea-trial when she was new.

Fresh water - 11.700 litres
Ballast - 15 tons
Auxiliary engine: 2 x Bukh 37,5 bhp, Titan generators 110 Volts/18 kW. Can be used as emergency engines.
The vessel was during her years in service on Greenland rigged with sails. The beams can be used for handling cargo. They can lift 500 and 700 kilos.
Classification: British Virgin Island flag and yacht register, built to Bureau Veritas 1 div. 3’/3 “F” deep sea 1, 1A & C.P, strengthen to Finnish Ice-class 1A. The hull is abt 12 mm in the ice-skirt, 8 and 10 mm in all other strokes, ice-fins protecting the propeller.

General arrangement: In the deckhouse are galley, toilet, office and washroom, situated. Two aft cabins are under conversion to a large mess-room. Mid-ships are one double and one single cabin plus the mess. The cargo hold could ver easy be converted to cabins. Dry-stores and ammunition-stores under the hold. The vessel is diverted into seven watertight compartments. Steel masts with “crows-nest (observation barrel).
